FIRESEAL STRIP

Firepro BJ201 is used for movement joints in floors and walls when fire protection together with high flexibility is required. BJ201 consists of layers of flexible water resistant intumescent strip sandwiched between layers of flexible foam. During a fire the intumescent expands to create a fire resistant barrier crushing the foam and filling the gap with non combustible insulating material. The seal has flexibility to withstand vibration and other movement. It is of uniform depth, is simple to install, and is highly compressible. Seals supplied are thicker than nominal size to allow for compression when installing. For seismic gaps, fixing brackets are available.
