Firepro B400 Spiralite is a comprehensive fire protection system for structural steel which uses a unique spiral screw fixing system method to give fast, clean and cost effective installation for up to 2 hours fire protection. This dry fixing system avoids all the associated mess and the additional labour time taken by the traditional glue method of fixing. The easy hand tool application also allows for quick visual quality control checks.

B400 SPIRALITE is a resin bonded mineral fibre board designed primarily for use as fire protection for strucural steelwork. It does however exhibit other properties such as excellent sound absorption. Typical sound absorption coefficient figures for 40mm and 50mm thicknesses are given below. Spiralite is stocked by Firepro Centabuild Ltd in 20mm, 30mm and 40mm thick sheets.

B400 Spiralite provides a fully insulated ducting with it''s lightweight board adding minimal weight to ducting and hangers. Easily cut and fixed on site.

Spiralite Board supplied 1800 x 1200 as standard. Spiralite Screws supplied galvanised as standard. All joints are square butt joints. No adhesive or filler is required. All noggings to be 100mm wide with the same thickness as Spiralite board to provide fire rating required (with a minimum of 30mm). Optimum length of Spiralite Screws is total nominal thickness of panels to be joined together less 5mm. Longer screws can be used.
